At Long Last – Thorsen Jailed.

“In April 2011, Thorsen was indicted on 22 counts of Wire Fraud and Money Laundering.”

September 15, 2025: Brietbart News has broken the story – Danish Researched indicted in 2011 for stealing over $1 million from CDC Autism Grant has been arrested in Germany.

This report highlights why FOIA is so very important. The internal discussions between CDC officials including Colleen Boyle who among other things breached ethics by arranging to ‘borrow’ an IRB approval from an unrelated autism paper so that an autism paper about to be published by Diana Schendel’s could move forward even after it was discovered the study had been done in violation of both Danish and US law, not having received the needed ethical clearances. Diana Schendel, who is recently newly named the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Autism Research https://www.eurekalert.org/news-releases/1095132 has a lot of things to answer I hope under oath before Senator Ron Johnson soon. The short list to those who don’t know the whole sordid tale. (1) As CDC employee she serves as supervisor to Poul Thorsen while in a ‘personal’ relationship. As his supervisor she champions the CDC to give her research funds to conduct the studies in Denmark to answer the questions on various vaccine related topics and autism. She pushes (at his direction) to speed up and increase the funding. (2) She gets the CDC to pay for her to spend a year in Denmark on the research projects. (3) She fails to due her duties as a grant/contract manager with Thorsen and fails to confirm if the ethical clearances for studies are obtained. (4) She fails to protect the Danish Autism dataset from Thorsen’s illegal removal from its secure location. (5) When things begin to be known at the CDC she resigns and moves to Denmark where she takes over the Autism portfolio at Aarhus.

The Deep Staters at NIH/CDC continue to fund her at Aarhus and then when a few years ago she moves back to US to Drexel her NIH funding continues.

Todate HHS has not called for a retraction of the Thorsen and/or Thorsen and Schendel articles.
